bar food... A couple weeks ago, to celebrate the last day of one of my classes at UT, our entire class went out to the Fox and Fiddle for drinks and food. Each of the classes in my program were given $100 to celebrate, so it was decided that the best way would be to use it to buy appetizer platters at a bar and share it amongst our 20+ classmates.
There are many Fox and Fiddles around Toronto, but the one we went to was on the North West Corner of Bloor and St. George. We got different platters of random appetizers. Their food is average and is just your typical bar food. We had about 2 platters of each (wings, vegetables with dip, nachos) and I think that pretty much used up the $100 budget we had.
- The Nachos were average, they definitely could layer the cheese and all the toppings better ...also throw in guacamole!
- The Wings, I only had like 2 of them- again these were your average deep fried wings with hot sauce, nothing especially bad or good to say about them
We went on a Monday and the drink special for that day was $3/bottle for beers (I didn't drink, but from what I remember, it was Coors light and Canadian). Overall, the Fox and Fiddle is just a typical bar with average food, but it is a great place to go with a large group of people (we had 20+) since they have plenty of space. I think you can also get a discount on food if you are with a bigger group ordering lots of platters as we did.
