Popular Japanese Makeup Trends

oshlo.blogspot.com - Hey dolls! Today I have a tutorial that uses some of the most popular makeup trends for teens in Japan. I have looked at images of models and magazine scans to gather some information, so here is my look that I've made out of the trends!

Although I don't have any, I recommend using dark brown colored contacts, as this is the typical eye color in Japan and will suit the look better. It's not pictured, but for your skin try using a foundation that is a shade lighter and make sure you cover up any blemishes, as smooth porcelain skin is mostly desired. I have freckles which can't be covered up, but oh well ^^". Start off by simply lining your upper lid with black stick liner fairly thin, then smudge it. Extend the line a tiny bit at the outer corner. Next, apply false lashes. I suggest not using mascara on them as you want them to look "natural", which is sort of ironic to say, but you don't want it to look messy like they're clumped with mascara. Apply a tiny bit of brown eye shadow to the outer corner of your bottom lid. In the next step, we are going to be enhancing what is called our "tear bag". Don't get this confused with eye bags, we don't want to look tired! The tear bag is the puffy part under your eye that usually appears when you smile. In Japan, it is popular to accentuate these because it makes you look more youthful and cute. Smile so you can see where yours is, then draw in the crease with brown eyeshadow. Smudge it a bit so it looks more natural. Color in your tear bag with white eyeliner, then apply white eyeshadow on top of that. If the color is too bright, then you can smudge it a bit as well. Apply a pink blush to your cheeks close to your eyes. You can apply it directly under, or a bit to the side, which is what I did.

Use a light pink lip tint followed by pink/clear gloss, and the look is finished! This is very good for everyday wear. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, and don't forget to leave a comment if you have any suggestions for posts! Have a fabulous day and see you next time! ♡
